It’s a tradition at our JAPFEST festival to recognize the owners of the best cars during the evening, closed Gala – and there’s a lot to compete for, as every year we award over 50 prizes in various categories.
The most important awards that can be won during JAPFEST are:
The most prestigious award, expressing the highest recognition from the organizers to the vehicle owner for the amount of work put in, style, and performance. Year after year, the bar rises at an exponential rate - thanks to this, we can admire projects built at a world-class level at the event. Below you will find the winners from recent years!
Award for the most interestingly modified car among exotic, supercars, modern cars, or rarely seen vehicles, where the base cost for the project exceeds 100,000 PLN.
Awards for the 3 most interesting cars manufactured before '89. We take into account both creativity in modifying such cars and maintaining them in impeccable original condition.
The highest distinction in the Oldschool category
Category for comprehensively modified cars, the most extensive projects that always impress with their appearance. In this category, we take into account the car's appearance (paint condition, interior, engine bay, spoilers and bodywork, wheels, wheel fitment, etc.) as well as mechanical modifications. Among the participants, we will select the top 3 projects in our opinion.
There can only be one queen, and we assure you, she shines the brightest!
The most insane projects, where car owners have pushed the boundaries in pursuit of the best performance. Here, we also award prizes to cars with the craziest engine swaps. There are 3 awards to be given out!
The fastest of the fastest, the wildest of the wildest, the absolute star of the Performance category.
If you've ever seen a car so lowered that it sparked behind it and wondered, "How does it even drive?!", then this is the category for those cars, and the top 3, in our opinion, will receive this award. But it's not just about the "ground", we primarily consider the best fitment of the wheel to the body, unique wheels visually matching the car, and the overall project. We don't require extensive mechanical modifications from cars in this competition, but we do pay close attention to all the details and prioritize maximum visual refinement of the vehicle.
The highest recognition for a car that stands out among "ground scrapers" like no other.
Category for the top 3 cars produced for the Japanese market, with right-hand drive.
It all started with Tomek's Lexus - one of our participants, who in 2017 made us realize that in Poland there are finally enthusiasts of the so-called Bippu Style. This style is very popular in Asia, which you may associate with large chrome wheels, luxurious interiors, curtains in the windows, TVs in the headrests, and even champagne in the rear armrest. These are definitely cars that wouldn't embarrass businessmen, dignitaries, or even mobsters.
Category for the 3 best cars kept close to stock but still impressing with the quality and originality of execution.
Awards for the top 3 places in the custom DRIFT BATTLE competition. Read more about DRIFT BATTLE.
The car that not only stands out with its drifting style but also with its appearance, making the biggest show that caught the attention of both judges and spectators - for it, this award is given, it is the star of drift.
The award that we give every year to the best and most dedicated drifting team participating in our proprietary DRIFT BATTLE competitions. We assess the show performed by team members throughout the event. A necessary condition for participation in this competition is the execution of a joint ride by team members (at least 3 cars) in the Drift Train.
It's a timed competition conducted on the main track, so the awarded prizes will depend on the best time each participant completes the lap in. In these competitions, we'll divide participants into 3 classes corresponding to their skills and car preparation - PRO, GT, and COMPACT. In total, we have 9 prizes to give out - for the top 3 places in each of the 3 classes.
The quarter-mile races are the competition with the largest prize pool. A total of 18 prizes await participants with the best lap times. Participants are divided into classes based on the type of drivetrain in the car (front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive), and within each class, further divisions are made for turbocharged, supercharged, nitrous-boosted cars, as well as naturally aspirated and diesel vehicles.
